3D printing is a new fabrication method for the creation of 3D objects. The component materials used are in liquid form which are then either deposited layer by layer in a computer guided process, or directly formed as 3D objects.
A wide range of materials can be printed depending on the type of the 3D printing device. The most common materials are plastics such as nylon and abs (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) but ceramics, metals such as stainless steel and titanium, resins and more, can also be printed.
