Advanced Materials are at the forefront of the evolution of our civilisation. They materialise our knowlege on physical phenomena and are the basis of most of the technologies that come to the market. Today the enable the transition to a sustainable world where massive production does not mean anymore waste of food, the sun's energy exploited without loss of other resources (clean water), electrical energy is distributed without any loss of its production. A sustainable world can already exist. We have just to realise it and exploit Materials Science!
